Denali background hike
Jordi and I went for a 2 days backcountry hike inside the Denali National Park.
We had to watch a safety video, on how to deal with river crossing, camping rules and bear attack. They provided us with bear proof food containers, TOPO maps of the area we picked to explore and off we went, camping gear, food for 2 days bear spray.
2h bus ride to the Polychrome Glaciers
pass;
Dropped a 300m cliff to start with;
Camped by the glacier;
Hiked 11km with no tracks or trails;
and slept for 14h! WTF! how can you sleep for f.ing 14h straight in a tent, 5°C outside, in the backcountry, surrendered by bears?
